The Department of Geo and Mining Tourism offers a three-year Bachelor degree programme „Geotourism“ (Bc.), a two-year follow-up Master degree programme „Geotourism“ (Ing.), and Ph.D. degree programme in the scientific branch „Explotation and protection of earth resources“. The structure of all degree programmes is compatible with the European space for higher education and European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
The second-level students and postgraduate doctoral students are involved in research projects, which form an important part of the faculty activities. Apart from the scheduled lectures and seminars, students work individually on their own semester, year or diploma projects. Every year during winter or summer semester are students attending terrain field trips or mining excursions for a week where they can gain practical experience.
